At pre-infection, he was a sophomore living with his 20-year old sister after the disappearance of their parents in her apartment. They barely had enough money to get them by, but he was happy to be with her anyway. He was a shy, loner type, who didn't quite fit in with the rest of the kids at his high school and was the object of bullying more than half the time. Despite this, he was selfless and friendly, always willing to drop everything and help another if needed.
At the time that the infection first started spreading, he'd been assaulted by a frenzied man who begs for him to kill him on the spot, and when he heisitated, the man grew angry and bit him. In terror, the boy struggled away and ran back home to his sister. She'd heard about the outbreak and became worried for her little brother's health. She tried her best to clean the wound, but she couldn/t do much without medicine. She told him to wait in the apartment so she could run to the store just down the street so she could get supplies, but never returned. He remained waiting, his fear growing and growing, reaching desperate levels. He sat and cried for hours, waiting for his sister to come home. For five long days, he remained waiting for her, no sleep, and no food. Finally hunger and fear drove him to search for her, and he began to roam the streets to find her.
In post-infection, he continues to search for her, convinced she is alone and scared, waiting for her brother like he waited for her. Looking directly into his eyes can result in three things:
- Self-mutilation (usually around the facial area)
- Fear so strong it freezes you, allowing him or anything nearby to hit you
-Paranoia, making you turn on your friends
The way to identify him is his soft sobbing and cries, with sound eerily similar to a cougar's cry. It is a distorted cry for his sibling, and if you listen close, you can hear a call for "Cassandra".
Your best defence against him is to blind him temporarily with a bright light or throw something on him, like a shirt of jacket. This way he can't look at you. But whenever he feels threatened, he will go on an all-out frenzy, attacking anyone who dares come close enough. If the opponent is sufficiently terrifying, however, he will flee. He is terrified of Hunters more than any infected, besides the Smokers as well.
